However besides the nuance in the production of a movies alone, there are many factors that affects its connection with the audience. An excellent case is "The Room" which released in 2003 for the reason that an independent movie. The movie was written, produced and told by Tommy Wiseau, who have also acted in the video. The movie was completely slaughtered by the critics while it do a good business. There are also the DC movies like "Suicide Squad" and "Justice League" which despite the critical bashing go on to collect big bucks. The reason why there being the subject matter even though poorly executed is special to the fans of DC comics.

Hits every cliche you can find in both Faustian-bargain tales as well as musician-drama/rags-to-riches tales, and it hits them **hard**. But I still really enjoyed _American Satan_. If I try to keep it professional, it is really easy to find holes to poke in the quality of _American Satan_, but that doesn't stop it from having really spoken to me on a level somehow simultaneously both shallow and personal. _American Satan_ will probably not resonate with the majority of audiences, and objectively, it's not a great film, but I think (and hope) it will find some sort of a place in cult cinema. _Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole._
